Then retreat to the upper level where a tile floor lanai that spans the entire side of the home unfolds to a beautiful ocean panorama. Plan your day while relaxing on loungers or drinking smoothies in comfy chairs. Three bedrooms offer direct lanai access, while the fourth doubles as an entertainment room with a daybed, flat screen, workstation & sofa.

The Ka'u District is home to some of Hawaii Island's most popular attractions, including Papakolea Green Sand Beach, Punaluu Black Sand Beach, Hawaii Volcanoes National Park & ancient Hawaiian heiau (temple) at Ka Lea (South Point). As 1 of only 2 green sand beaches in the U.S., Papakolea rewards hikers with its green crystals (olivines) mixed with black (lava) and white (coral/shells). Pick up java at Ka'u Coffee Mill in Pahala, malasadas at Punaluu Bake Shop, & local produce at Naalehu Farmer's Market or Ocean View Swap Meet.
